Chloe-Paige has spent six years progressing her career within the industrial sector. Starting as a trainee, her commitment and hard work have seen her rise to the role of Senior Site Manager. Keen to enhance her skill set and ensure the highest standards of health and safety on her sites, Chloe-Paige enrolled in the Basic Scaffold Inspection (BSI) Course at SIMIAN LASC.

As a Senior Site Manager, Chloe-Paige is responsible for ensuring her projects run smoothly, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. Scaffolding, a key component of site operations, must meet strict safety requirements. While Chloe-Paige had previously inspected scaffolding under guidance, she wanted to gain the confidence and expertise to carry out scaffold inspections independently. Recognising the importance of having a detailed understanding of TG20-compliant scaffolds, Chloe-Paige sought to deepen her technical knowledge to protect her team and maintain an excellent standard of health and safety across her sites.

The Basic Scaffold Inspection Course provided Chloe-Paige with the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to confidently inspect scaffolding independently. Led by SIMIAN’s expert instructor, Ian, the course offered Chloe-Paige an invaluable opportunity to inspect scaffolding alongside both the scaffolders and her instructor. This hands-on experience allowed her to ask specific, real-time questions and apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, greatly enhancing her understanding.

The course not only covered the fundamentals of scaffold inspection but also equipped Chloe-Paige with a deeper appreciation of scaffolding systems and best practices. By understanding the principles of TG20 compliance and learning how to identify and rectify potential issues, Chloe-Paige is now fully prepared to uphold her sites’ safety standards.

After completing the BSI Course, Chloe-Paige can now:

• Independently inspect scaffolds to TG20 standards, ensuring compliance and safety.
• Confidently collaborate with scaffolders, applying her enhanced knowledge to maintain high safety levels on-site.
• Provide her team with the assurance that scaffolding structures meet strict safety requirements, reducing risks and promoting a safe working environment.
