Beatrice, a dedicated Project Manager at Mears Group, plays a pivotal role in overseeing various construction projects. Given that the majority of Mears Group’s works are scaffold-dependent, she recognised the importance of enhancing her knowledge of scaffold inspection and compliance. Beatrice requested to attend SIMIAN’s Basic Scaffold Inspection (BSI) course at our LASC training centre, a request her employer fully supported.

Beatrice’s primary goal for attending the BSI course was to gain the expertise needed to assist site managers with scaffold handovers. By deepening her understanding of scaffold safety, she aimed to improve on-site efficiency, ensuring that structures met industry standards before being put to use.

The course provided her with comprehensive knowledge of scaffold inspection procedures, legislation, and best practices. One of the key learning points for her was TG20 compliance, an essential framework for ensuring scaffolds is erected and maintained to industry standards.
