The People’s Pavilion is a bold new approach to collaborative design and production that seeks to create a blue print for equitable place-making, one that uses arts and culture to connect young creatives to tangible opportunities.

The project seeks to empower young people to design and build a temporary pavilion that embodies and discovers what it means for young people to take up space in their city, whilst inspiring a generation of young designers, makers, and creatives. The People’s Pavilion is one of only a few London based projects that sees young people’s ideas into physical form  working with industry professionals Beyond the Box along with others.

SIMIAN’s London Academy of Sustainable Construction (LASC) centre was pleased to provide a much needed space for the winning team to come together to craft an awe-inspiring structure for the highly anticipated Peoples Pavilion Festival 2023.

This partnership not only demonstrates the power of collaboration but also underscores the importance of sustainable practices in the construction industry. By utilizing a shared space at the SIMIAN LASC Centre, the partners are not just building a physical structure, but they are constructing a blueprint for a greener and more connected future.
