Pre-Employment Training.
LASC is renowned for its Pre-Employment Training Scheme (PETS) courses. Our PETS courses are aimed at providing the residents of Waltham Forest and the wider London community with the skills required for employment in the construction industry.
Course content varies based on the funding provider and local needs, but typically covers a range of topics from interview skills, personal wellbeing, mental health, sector skills and, critically, guaranteed work placements.
Gaining the ideal skills and experience for the job market
We work closely with a number of job brokerage and community organisations in the Waltham Forest Borough and across the wider London region, whose aim is to assist residents into work and enable them to contribute to the economic success of the areas in which they live.
Learners will gain key qualifications in their chosen specialism, and participate in real work experience, providing the opportunity to showcase their new found skills to prospective employers.
